TH-B418 is an easy-to-use system designed for vessels and ships with a full complement of associated electronics, flexible networking,expansion and data processing functions.It is applicable for underwater target detection especially for networking and VOS underwater target detection.
The TH-B418 system entails the following features:
lThrough shore-based command center,multi-shipboard sonar makes networks to form a larger detection capacity.Sonar can be deployed freely depending on the specific defense area.
lThe system has strong collaboration capability of multi-sonars and the sonar has strong rejection capability of mutual interference.
lSonar probe is small, light and flexible which can be dipped into the submarine moving area,with effectively avoiding blind spots.

System Component and Functions
The entire TH-B418 system consists of a shore-based command and control system and multiple sets of ship-bone sonar subsystems.The subsystems exchange information through radio stations and Beidou satellite communication and position unit.A typical TH-B418 consists of following parts:
1.Shore-based command & control subsystem
It consists of satellite communication unit,control and display unit, data processing and handling unit and other components.It is mainly used for commanding and dispatching all ships mounted sonar, conducting secondary processing, matching to target information and ensuring false alarm rates keeping very low frequency.
2.Ship-bone sonar subsystem
It consists of sonar probe unit,winch cable for deployment and recovery,signal transmitting and processing unit,controlling and displaying unit,Beidou communication and position unit and etc.
Through signal processing and display unit,sonar switches freely between multi- modes and multi-bands. Many sonar nodes cooperatively operate in a sea area at the same time,with each node pre-set active / passive mode,sonar realizes multi-base detection.In particular,the probability of being detected is far lower than the detection probability.Operating at very low frequencies,it offers tactically significant capabilities in terms of detection range and low false alarm rates,even in noisy littoral waters.
